Dana M. Bellingrath

Dana M. Bellingrath (2022 President of Wake Women Attorneys) is a family law attorney at the family law firm, Pennington Brienzi Law, PLLC with over a decade of experience practicing exclusively family law. She has been a licensed attorney in North Carolina since 2009 and has practiced exclusively family law since 2010.
Dana attended law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude in 2009. Although she has “eagle pride” in her law school alma mater, Dana still considers herself a “Carolina Girl,” having obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998.
In addition to representing clients of the firm, Dana has volunteered her services as an attorney for Domestic Violence victims via Project Together/Legal Aid of North Carolina and was one of the founding volunteer court-appointed attorneys for the Wake County Domestic Violence Custody Court program throughout its existence, where she represented parents on either side of the “v.” to resolve temporary custody issues in domestic violence cases where a Domestic Violence Protective Order had been entered.
Dana joined the Board of Wake Women Attorneys in 2021 and has been a member of Wake Women Attorney for several years. She is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, where she serves on the Women in the Profession Committee, is a member of the Family Law Division, and previously served as co-Chair of the Domestic Issues committee in the Young Lawyer’s Division. She is also a member of the Wake County Bar Association, where she has served on the Bar Swearing-In committee for many years.
Passionate about all things plants, when she’s not dedicating her time to her profession and her family, you can usually find Dana surrounded by plants, whether in her personal jungle at home, her office, and/or hunting for uncommon and rare plants at local nurseries and big-box stores. (If you happen to come across her out in the “wild” buying a plant… just don’t mention it to her very loving, encouraging, supportive, understanding and patient spouse, Todd, who thinks she’s got more than enough plants, already! ).
